Open for takeaway throughout Lockdown

Unfortunately in line with the latest Government announcement we have no choice but to temporarily close our doors for eating and drinking on our premises from Thursday 5th November through to 2nd December.

During this time we will still be open for delicious Thai takeaway, 7 days a week from 5pm-9pm (collection only). You can also enjoy takeaway alcohol – including draft ale, lager, cider, plus a selection of wines, if pre-ordered.

Collection is from ‘The Hatch’ and we ask you to adhere to the current social distancing rules.

☎️We recommend booking your takeaway in advance by calling us on 01223 891467 ☎️

Our B&B will continue to stay open to those travelling for work purposes.

We’d like to thank you for your continued support throughout the pandemic and hope to see you all soon!

Choose The Three Tuns Great Abington to relax, meet up, and have a few drinks with friends.

Our menu is full of traditional Thai favorites, including starters, stir fry dishes, noodle dishes, and curries. We also have a specials board with new dishes added on a regular basis.

All dishes indicate how hot or spicy the dish is and all allergen information is also provided on the menu. Our staff will be on hand to assist with food selection if necessary and to make sure you have everything you need to make your visit to The Three Tuns memorable.

Many of you will have seen the work going on out in the garden over the last few weeks.  The team are delighted to announce that our dining huts are now open and ready to use.

They seat 6 and have their own heating and music so you can really set your own private space up as you like.  Table service for both food and drink completes the offering and we hope that you will all enjoy the unique experience we have created.

We look forward to welcoming families, groups of friends looking for a safe and comfortable way to enjoy an outing.

To hear more and see them in use check out the video on our Facebook page. (It will be on the website soon).

To add further outdoor space we have also opened up “The Cartshed”.  A relaxing area under cover for drinks and snacks.

In order to prepare properly for welcoming all our customers back in to the pub, we have completed training and carried out a full risk assessment to ensure everyone remains safe.

Please see the attached training certificate and the risk assessment documentation.

3 Tuns Public House COVID-19 Mgmt Risk Assessment – June 2020

We need everyone to pay attention to the new signage and to listen to guidance from staff when inside the building.

We want you all to enjoy the pub experience again but more importantly we want you to do so safely and responsibly.  Remember, other customers may have different concerns about going out or have health issues within their households that need them to be extremely careful.

Please respect others and enjoy your visit to The Three Tuns.

Many thanks

Chris & Karen

The Three Tuns

We are pleased to see some of the lockdown rules relaxed and hope this means we will be able to welcome customers to the pub again soon. As many of you will know our take-away service has been very popular in recent weeks and we have been delighted to provide a Thai meal for so many of you.

Some of you will also have enjoyed the selection of beers that Chris has been able to provide and we hope to continue this until the pub can open again.

We will try and keep you all up to date with messages on the website and on our Facebook page. Hopefully you will have seen some of our recent posts and the video content that was done by one of our lovely customers.

Hope to see you again soon, stay safe and well

The Three Tuns

To all our friends and customers

Further to the recent Government’s announcements, we wanted to advise you that with the full support of our staff, we remain open, but with changes in how we can operate.

We have one way systems in place, we have opened our new dining huts for your enjoyment and have also created more outdoor space in our barn area so that groups of up to six can socially distance safely.

Staff have been trained, our cleaning regime enhanced and the care and safety of all visitors is a priority.  We have track and trace forms so we can inform you of any issues arising but hope that if we all follow the guidance this will not be necessary.

Our commitment to the standards we aim to achieve, service by service, will remain undimmed and we promise that you will always receive the warmest of welcomes here. We want to reassure you that we are also, of course, more than maintaining complete adherence to guidelines set out by the Government and the WHO.

In the light of Government advice, we also fully understand why customers would wish to cancel at this time and are completely sympathetic to your reasons. In attempting to find an appropriate balance given the news coverage and the complete dominance of Coronavirus in all aspects of life – we are also pragmatically assuming that all of our customers are fully aware of the situation and are also taking their responsibilities to themselves and to others in coming here seriously. That same assumption is why we are continuing to take reservations for the restaurant and for the rooms, and we heartily thank our many friends for their loyalty in doing so.

We are more than aware that we can be of use to our community in the coming weeks, and are working closely with local bodies as to how we might best utilise our kitchens and people! We are still providing a takeaway service, please call to arrange a pick up time.

Please accept our sincerest best wishes as we all try to work through this difficult period.
